More mobile update

Looking through my iPhone album while waiting for the bus.

Lunch break

I told ya I'd see some interesting stuff!

a guy dressed in white performance outfit and a big furry butt walking on high sticks trying to cross the stress... i think they were promoting something, the circus version of "swan lake"?? it's across the radio city hall, so i won't be surprised if it was a promotion for one of the shows there.. eh.. normal..

i saw goats and sheeps lined up outside of radio city hall for a performance and was crapping everywhere... of course it happened during rush hour and nobody could move on the side walk.

Mommy and daisy

This was about a yr ago. I miss her puppy days.

MOBILE UPDATE! awesome~

Almost home....

----------------------------------

this is a photo i took on my iphone last Friday as I was walking home.. it was in the 70's, so breezy and springy... i live in the building on the left and the view of midtown manhattan is across the river...

mobile update is so easy! omg, i'm so hooked now, i used to take tons of interesting pictures while walking around the city and just deleted them cus it was too much hassel to email it, then save it, then post it.

i had a picture of Yoga @ Time Square, I walked pass 20 women sitting on the triangle traffic island in the middle of Time Square on 42nd and broadway on my way to work. I uploaded on facebook, I will find it and post it here. pretty cool.

be hold my readers, many many more mobile updates to come~~~

random update

thanks for all the replies ladies. I understand that makeup junkies like us always try so so hard to hold back on buying anything, b/c really, who NEEDS all these make up? we've only got one face, and sometimes it's the best to just chill out and go au naturale.

with the economy the way it is, everyone's feeling the pinch in the wallet, and I don't blame y'all for being indifferent about the products I listed. They aren't the most LE and hard to get products, so I think I might just list them on MUA and see how things go there.

However, I will keep on listing more products and if you do catch something you like and think the price is fair, you know where to find me~ stephanie.y.wang@gmail.com

so i haven't had a lot of time to do picture updates. my GMAT is coming up on 5/10 and I honestly haven't studied that much yet. Work's been kind of busy, well, work's always busy, there really isn't much down time. I'm looking into doing an international transfer to Corporate Strategy stationed in Shanghai. But I took a closer look at my resume last night and thought I've jumped around too much. 8 months at my last job and 11 months at my current one. Total experience is more than what they were looking for, but how does it look for me to transfer again not even fulfilling 2 years of service at my current position?

It's really difficult to decide what's the best route to go about your career when you don't have a mentor. I don't have the industry and career knowledge to know what's best for me out there. I just go along with what life throws at me. Opportunities don't come knocking on your door if you are not out there looking, especially in a city like Manhattan, everyone's a go getter and shit talker. But for now, my strategy is to sit on what I have now, try to get promoted to show leadership potential, and apply to grad schools to see my chances. I know I'll always have a fall back plan, I don't believe I will go out of job any time soon *knock on wood*, plus I'm so young (not even 24 yet), I have time. and that's the best asset to have, as long as I capitalize on it and use it wisely. That's my game plan for now...

H "supposedly" moved down completely. well, it's about time. In the 2 years I've been with him, more than 1 1/2 of our relationship is spent apart. I don't think I can handle long distance relationship at all. If he's not by my side, then wtf is the point of having a boyfriend? I don't do mental relationships, I need him to be with me physically. I get lonely easily and often I find random people find ways back into my life by just "being" there. H talked about moving down since March 2007, it is now almost May 2008, and he's not even completely here yet. I'm pushed over my limit. Some days I feel like I can't live without him, but most of the time, I feel like life may be better without him, it's just I don't want to live without him. I CAN, but I don't WANT to. Tell me any other 23 yr old in the big apple is desparately wanting to be with a man in a committed relationship. This is about the only one, y'all. If I dated in the last 1 1/2 yr, god knows how many banker and lawyers I should have been with. But I decided to stay with a chef from Boston. I tell ya, if it wasn't for the food... lol... man... I would've been long gone~

Anyways ladies, just some updates to keep y'all posted on what's going on. I will come back with more picture post soon. HAPPY HUMP DAY~

why nobody buy? =(

hi girls.... is the economy really that bad now??? am i listing my prices too high??? is it the payment method not easy enough??? or are the products not attractive enough?

why nobody placed an order yet? pls tell me in the comment why you decided not to order? after you've told me you are interested?? i feel hurt. =( at least i'm a finance/business major, i thought i was pretty thorough with the business aspect of it. listing my products with links to reviews, stating fair price (i think), and attractive product pictures.

if it's price problem, I can definitely fix that. I'd rather get rid of them than having them laying around. also, i haven't listed all the products yet, b/c i'm just trying out a few items at time to see how well i can handle confirming orders, receiving payments, and shipping out items. If i'm doing too much at a time, i might not be able to handle it.

anyways, just drop me a line in the comment, you can use anonymous if you'd like to keep your identity sealed.

i have upcoming reviews of my recent haul~ also the a vid of my so called "quarter life crisis"..

black.... or... white....

Jessica Simpson Layla in White and Black Patent with Gold Cork heel and platform : $78.95
which one should I keep?????

Coastal Scent Haul

I couldn't hold off my Coastal Scent lemming anymore, especially after I started loving my Beauty Powder Blush in Joyous and find that I only have one 187 to work between that and the MSF. Cleaning brushes between application ain't my thang, cus i'm lazy like that. So I caved...

left to right: G Bronzer sample, Pink Kabuki Buffer brush, 15 piece brush set, Pink Duo Fiber brush, Italian Flat Top Buffer, black eye liner (forgot the name)

the 15 piece brush set is pretty complete. powder brush, blush brush, foundation brush, eye shadow brush, blending brush, liner brush, brow brush, lip brush, it's got it ALL. I haven't tested it yet, but when I cleaned it with brush cleaners on paper towel, the red coloring at the tip was bleeding... nooo goooood.... so I'm gonna have to wash them with baby shampoo when i get off of my lazy ass. quality wise, they are very dense and full, but I wouldn't say they are soft and i wanna glide them all over my face, but for $15, you can't really ask for too much.

The Duo Fiber brush and Flat top brush were what I was eyeing the entire time. I felt them calling my name through all the reviews i read about. But do they live up to the reputation? Honestly, I think anyone who says these brushes are good, they are really saying 'these brushes are good for what you paid for'. they are not those filmsy GWP brushes, but they are NOT MAC. don't get your hopes up too high, anytime you feel like these brushes are not up to par, just think about what you paid for, then you'll smile and be like "oh ok, for $7, it's not that bad".

I washed them last night. yes they bleed, yes they shed (a lot), that pink kabuki brush is almost bald cus i was plucking the hair out. I should have washed them first before using it though. they are drying on my dresser now, i'll see if they behave better tmr. that Duo Fiber brush have these little black pubic hair look likes falling out. soooo grossss.... ewwww.... the italian flat top brush was bleeding like no tmrrr..

MAC 187 vs Pink Duo Fiber, it's not as dense as the 187, the top is not as even. and it's softer, so they bend when i try to blend. i don't kno, it drags too much on my skin. does that make sense?

Italian Flat Top Buffer vs Tarte Flat Top Buffer. I use the Tarte for MM, but it's kind of big, so they don't get the little areas like the side of my nose. I haven't used the italian one yet, but the top is not as even as the Tarte one. Also that coloring the put on the top bleeds a lot... they should have just left it out.

all in all, they are good brushes for the price. The handles are sturdy, the bristle are not the hardest, nor the softest, it's one of those brushes that is just "ok". But I can tell they are well made and will last a while. I'd say go for it for if you need multiple brushes of the same kind and are too lazy to wash between application, or if you are one of those super lazy person who throws away dirty brushes and never clean them (I'm almost there...)

****** I'm planning to start the sale by tmr (Friday, 4/24). However, I need to figure out if my bank account is linked to PayPal yet, other wise it's a waste of time if you guys can't pay me and I can't verify addresses. I will do a small portion first (New STuffff!!), once I get a hang of it, more items will follow.

**********By the way, anyone interested in the 2 pigments I have? Aire de Jardin and Mauvement? if you are, I'm gonna have to find out where to get those little sample jars, Vanessaaaaa~~~ where do you get the little jars from??? with the sifters??? lol

  • NARS Laguna Bronzer to contour jawline with Sephora Flat Top brush
  • Guerlain Blush and Sun in Sun Light on apple of my cheeks with Clinque blush brush
  • MAC MSF in Northern Light with MAC 187 on the top 1/2 of my apples to highlight

BROWS:

  • PN eye brown pencil ( I don't even know the color anymore, the wording on the outside is all rubbed off, the only brow pencil I used for th past 5 years)

EYES:

  • Shiseido Hydro Powder eye shadow in H2 (white light) as base, applied with finger
  • Kevyn Aucoin eye shadow palette #2, used the purple/taupe color on crease and below with a Lancome shadow brush, used the matte black as a liner with a Lancome fine liner brush

  • Pout mascara (similar to Maybellin Lash Discovery) as a base for lashes, Majorlic Majorilica Lash Extension mascara as a second base, Heroin fiber lash entension mascara, and Cover Girl Lash Blast to finish ( I always use at least 3 different mascaras whenever I wear make up, it's the only way to pump up the lashes)

Camera Tag

Tagged by Fei, so here it is..

Sony DSC-T10 7.2 MP Super Steady Shot with Gucci and Swarovski chain/charm dangling girly thingy.

H bought it for me as a "just because" present. I just noticed I have Sony for everything, Sony Camera, Camcorder, Laptop (Vaio in pink), Wega Flat Screen tv, and a Vaio laptop. Except for my phone, which is an iPhone of course. Speaking of iPhone, I seriously can't live without this phone. It's my phone, my mp3, my camera (i always catch interesting things walking around NYC, see below), my web browser, my calendar, my weather reporter, and my EMAILLLLLsss... I need to learn how to mobile upload.

this is on 50th st. between 5th and 6th ave. how often do you catch a burnt up cab on 5th ave? last week when H and I went to a Knick's game at MSG, we saw a second floor tanning salon blew up in a blast and burnt to the ground, there were glasses everywhere on the street. can you imagine walking pass there and get cut up in the face with those glasses blasting? dang, my hood is dangerous man! lol. jk.

Alright kiddos, i just took pictures of about.. 20 products using the above camera, and let me tell you, it's a lot of workkkk.. argh.. tired... going to sleep. later~

Love the tan, but frekles?

HELLO MI LADIES~~ long time no FOTD. well, i just wanted to show you guys some of my pics after I came back from Mexico with this gorgous tan~~ notice the second pic I look red and burnt? I think it's either my Asian glow (had a glass of champane) or my burnt skin showing through. it's weird, b/c usually i don't get burnt, not even if i don't put on sunblock, but this time. MAN OH MAN, i am peeellling everywhere!! my forehead, my pit, my chest (check out the boobie shot in the first pic), even my legs and feet! wth? I swear I was smothered in SPF55 AM to PM. but something about Mexican sun is extra extra strong and I came home CRISP.

I think it used Joyous beauty powder blush in this pic. Ya like Daisy's pearly whites? lol.

check out the real damage....

frekles... on... my... hand....

all the horror stories your mom tells you about getting sun spots on your hand and chest b/c you don't put SPF on it, IS TRUE! dude, i missed that ONE spot and i got frekles. this is disgusting! I love to lay out in the sun and get some color on my skin, but never in a million years did i want freckles! thank goddness it's not on my face, cuz i wouda hide under a blanket until i lasered that shit out. i don't know if this will ever go away, i've been putting whiten lotion on it, but not much result.

so point of the story...

WEAR YOUR SUN BLOCK AND COVER EVERY INCH OF YOUR SKIN IN IT! that $10 you spend on a good sunblock is worth every single penny b/c sun damage is hard to reverse. it's always a good idea to protect and prevent, than try to fix the problem later.

thank you thank you thank you

I'm so surprised that many of you are interested in my little Yard Sale. Thank you for your interest and I will try to make the transaction as easy as possible. However, a few things though...
  1. Many of your are not blogger and doesn't have a blog, which is fine with me. But would you please state your name after your comment, so I know who's who?
  2. As previously mentioned, I only have PayPal and I think I can receive money on it, right right? If I'm wrong, correct me pls. But I will only ship to addresses confirmed on PayPal, this way I can ensure I've shipped to the right person and less drama on the "i didn't receive my package" front.
  3. I CANNOT SHIP INTERNATIONAL. This is only b/c the few times I did international swaps on MUA went south. It's just not worth the whole process and it will take you forever to receive my package.
  4. I will be fair with prices, more in line with what I paid for and the shipping cost since I will include it in the price.
  5. I will include samples and other extras since I have so many. Pls let me know if you don't want any. I will not include used lippie or mascara or eye liner. I know the rules. ^.~
  6. Most likely sale will be on in batches, b/c there are a lot to cover and I want to do a clean sweep of everything, it'll be separated into skin care, make up, etc.

Again, thank you all for your interest and let me know if any of these rules are out of line, I will try to as fair as possible. As many of you know I'm studying for GMAT and D-Day is on 5/10/08, so if I'm a little slow in getting you back, pls forgive me.

Cancun Duty Free

As promised, picutres of my recent purchases. I didn't buy much while I was at the Cancun Airport, it was close to midnight and we have been awake since 7am and running on about 3 hours of sleep. But I did grab 2 items for myself and cartons of cigarettes for H. Nothing says love more than cancer sticks for your hubby.

Guerlain Terracotta Blush & Sun in Sun Light, which is the lightest color, slightly peachy, but goes on so subtle and makes my cheeks glowy. Especially that I'm so tanned now, probably 2 shades darker than my winter skin, this is the perfect blush for me. I find that MAC Beauty Powder Blush in Joyous is a little too 'showy' on me, even if I use my 187 with it. So I've been using this as a blush every day and people tell me I have the most glowy complexion and so tanned and looks so healthy *tehehehe*. I think that as my skin gets darker, the best way to keep it from looking too red or 'dirty' (I think Asian tend to look farmer dirty when they tan, I used to look like I just walked out of a rice patty when I tanned), is to use beige/light tan bronzer as a blush. My Shu Marble Glow-On Blush in Sierra goes on so smooth and enhances the tan on my face. Love love lovess it!

I'm a HUGE fan of the Issey Miyake line perfume. I have their Summer 06 LE (pink bottle) and the SE Dew on a Petal (middle bottle). Both smells so heavenly, clean, crisp and fresh. I love floral fresh perfume, makes me feel so clean. I didn't buy the original bottle, because my friend is a die-hard fan too and buys parfum bottles (she goes through at least 3 bottles a year), and I didn't want to steal her 'scent'.
The new one I bought at the airport is the spray deodorant. I didn't know they made such product and was instantly intrigued since I hate drug store solid deodorants. Let me tell me this is god send! On mornings when I'm running late (every morning), I spray this on my pit and I can skip the perfume. You could still smell the scent faintly throughout the day and it's not sticky at all, doesn't get on your clothes and saves money on perfume. The deodorant is about $28 I think, which is a steal and I wish I bought more! The only problem is.. obviously this is not a strong anti-persperiant and since NYC is getting warmer lately, I feel like I need that extra dryness protection. Girls, walk through subways and bus station while carrying my 10lb bag is a workout in and of itself. One word.. Grosssss...

Love both of my purchases and worth every single cent. =)
